Company bolsters aftermarket service for crushing plant customers operating in waste-recycling sector

ZF Services UK, leading specialists in driveline and chassis technologies, have enhanced their product support capability to support crushing and shredding machinery operators in the waste, recycling and quarrying industries.

At their Centre of Competence in Nottingham, ZF Services UK are offering a reliable new maintenance and product support service for all of the company’s large industrial gearboxes, including the complete range of GMH and GME planetary units. The Nottingham Centre of Competence is a dedicated, modern facility with a huge range of spares and parts in stock and a 6,500 sq m workshop to assemble and remanufacture gears and components on site.

All technicians at the service support centre are highly trained to industry and ZF standards. As part of the company’s extended aftermarket support, certified ZF trained technicians will carry out diagnosis, health checks and commissioning of ZF industrial gear units in many demanding off-highway environments.

Servicing parts, diagnostics, health checks – including endoscopic inspection and oil analysis – will also be carried out at the Nottingham Centre of Competence. Genuine ZF parts will be stocked and distributed from the product support centre, while non-ZF gearbox remanufacture and a reverse engineering service will be provided at the site too.

Gavin Donoghue, off-highway business manager for ZF Aftermarket, said: ‘By expanding our parts and service solutions, operators with Doppstadt, Haas and Terex Ecotec crushing and shredding equipment can now benefit from UK-based support for their ZF range of gearboxes. We are currently working with UK dealers to provide a new range of repair options including reman exchange.’

Every assembly is tested to original ZF factory specification, with factory updates made on every remanufactured product, all backed by a 12-month, 1,500h warranty for off-highway applications.

As a result, customers will reap the benefits of improved service performance, efficiency and cost reductions, through simplified access to service, repair and remanufacture, as well as technical support.
