New HQ for Liebherr GB

AFTER four decades at their Welham Green base, near Hatfield, Liebherr Great Britain Ltd have moved to new high-tech headquarters in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.

Close to the A1 and within easy reach of all major airports in the South East, the new premises represents an investment in excess of £15 million and includes a modern, purpose-built office building and some 5,000m2 of accommodation for service, repair, maintenance, equipment testing and computerized spares warehousing. The 90m long by 66m wide by 18m high workshop features four separate workbays for cranes, earthmovers, truckmixers and welding and incorporates underfloor fume extraction, six computerized oil-delivery stations, and four 25-tonne overhead cranes.
