New hooklift system from Edbro

Tipping hoist manufacturers Edbro believe their next-generation hooklift system, Rolatip, will provide road haulage operators with 30% faster operation than competitive systems.

The universal Rolatip hooklift system fits all chassis types and provides increased lifting capacity by using faster operating cylinders than other products available, without increasing the hydraulic working pressure. This results in a lighter, more efficient unit with improved payload rating and a lower centre of gravity for enhanced vehicle handling.

Key to the high operating efficiency of the Rolatip unit is a system of wide rear rollers, which provide minimum rear overhang for legal axle loading at 32 tonnes gvw, thereby reducing the rear approach for easier bin handling.

Smaller hydraulic lift cylinders with a reduced oil capacity, and a bin build comprising special alloy hi-tensile steel sections have largely contributed to the lightweight construction of the system, while providing the high strength required for waste handling and recycling.

In addition to improved operating speeds, higher payloads and weight savings, Rolatip comes with a number of integrated safety features to help avoid accidents. These include interlocks to prevent jib movement during the tipping cycle, and load-retaining valves on each lifting cylinder to protect against hose failure.

Rolatip is available in two models -– the RLT 26 has a maximum lift capacity of 16 tonnes (26 tonnes gvw); and the RLT 32 offers a lift capacity of 23 tonnes (32 tonnes gvw).
