New guidance on recycling in roads

"NEW guidance is now available on the permitted uses of secondary and recycled aggregates in roads following the publication of the recently updated Aggregates Information Service (AIS) Digest 101, ‘Uses of Secondary and Recycled Aggregates under Existing Specifications’."

"The digest has been comprehensively revised to include the May 2001 amendments to the Specification for Highway Works, which greatly increase the scope for the use of secondary and recycled aggregates and in-situ recycling techniques."

"Digest 101, together with 38 other digests relating to aggregates efficiency issues, can be downloaded in pdf format from the AIS website at www.viridis.co.uk."

"New digests are currently in preparation on the aggregates tax and a number of case studies, and the AIS would welcome suggestions for possible topics for future digests."
