New Doosan ADT for Kilsaran Concrete

Doosan MT31 dumptruck

Quarry operator acquires new MT31 articulated dumptruck from Philip McCormack Plant Ltd

KILSARAN Concrete, part of The Kilsaran Group, have taken delivery of a new Doosan MT31 ADT for use at the company’s Gallstown Quarry at Grangebellew, in County Louth.

One of the main reasons for purchasing the Doosan machine is the brand’s reliability and dependability, backed by a three-year warranty covering the powerline and engine. The ADT is also being maintained under a service contract with Philip McCormack of County Kildare, ensuring that the truck maintains a good residual value even with over 20,000 working hours.

Peter Ryan, location manager at Gallstown Quarry, said: ‘As well as the high residual value, it was the attractive package offered by Philip McCormack Plant that clinched the deal for the new MT31 ahead of Doosan’s competitors. The trucks have been great performers over the years and I’m sure this will continue under the Doosan brand if the performance of the MT31 is anything to go by.’

The 22.7-tonne dumptruck features a Scania DC9 engine, providing a gross power output of 255kW (347hp) at 2,200 rev/min. It has a maximum 28-tonne payload, central lubrication, a rear-view camera and permanent six-wheel drive to ensure maximum stability and equal weight distribution.

Well suited to quarry operations, Doosan ADTs are optimized for extreme off-road performance, but their agile undercarriage ensures that the trucks can drive and perform just as well on more normal construction sites such as road works and mass-excavation hauling.
