Former Lafarge Aggregates area business manager Phil Cox appointed as director of MQP
MIDLAND Quarry Products (MQP) have announced the appointment of Phil Cox as director, with effect from 1 July 2013.
Mr Cox has more than 30 years’ experience in the quarrying and construction materials industry.
For the last 10 years he has worked for Lafarge Aggregates, most recently as area business manager for the north of England and Scotland – a role which also encompassed national rail operations.
Prior to joining Lafarge he gained considerable commercial and operational experience during a 14-year spell with RMC (now CEMEX).
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Cox said he was excited about the opportunities for MQP in the future and about working with the company’s experienced and enthusiastic team to develop the business further.
MQP’s operations director Ian Bredbury and commercial director Martin White will report to Mr Cox.
