New customer-facing appointments at EPC-UK

EPC-UK team

Company continues to strengthen its commitment to enhancing customer service with four new roles

EPC-UK have reinforced their commitment to ensuring that improved customer service is at the forefront of the organization, by promoting four team members to key customer-facing positions.

Ryan Ward, commercial manager – explosives, services and metrics; Charlotte Hegarty, customer service manager; John Morgan, area supervisor for Shropshire and Leicestershire; and Leanne Tuscher, transport manager, assumed their new roles on the 2 January 2019, each having the ultimate objective of enhancing the customer experience.

Ryan Ward joined EPC-UK four years ago directly from Birmingham University, where he studied chemistry. He began his career as a laboratory technician, assisting with quality testing and research and development projects.

In 2017 Mr Ward became a commercial analyst, a position which allowed greater interaction with EPC-UK customers and provided the experience and skills required for his new position as commercial manager – explosives, services and metrics, in which he is responsible for the creation of contracts and tender documents, conducting price reviews and ensuring EPC-UK remain commercially competitive.

Charlotte Hegarty first joined EPC-UK as a transport administrator five years ago. She has now assumed the role of customer service manager, taking sole responsibility for the management of the sales office and ensuring that the requirements of customers are consistently met.

John Morgan began his career in the explosives industry 30 years ago, working his way up from excavator driver to blast designer. He joined Blasting Services, part of the Exchem Group before it was rebranded EPC-UK, more than 20 years ago.

Mr Morgan has now been promoted to the position of area supervisor for Shropshire and Leicestershire, with his main responsibilities being to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure the safety of his team.

Leanne Tuscher joined EPC-UK in 2014 as a freight-forwarding administrator at the company’s Bramble Island site. She then took on the role of transport co-ordinator, before being promoted to transport supervisor. In her new position as transport manager, she is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and that drivers are compliant with the latest rules and regulations.

Explaining why EPC-UK made this move to strengthen their customer facing team, managing director Ben Williams said: ‘Our reputation for providing only the highest level of customer service is renowned within the industry. However, we never take this for granted and are continually working to better ourselves and our processes. These four new appointments will help us do just that.

‘Ryan, Charlotte, John and Leanne will each play a vital role in providing our customers with the guidance, support and professionalism they have come to expect from EPC-UK and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all four on their promotions.’
