Middle East expansion for Edbro

Middle East expansion for Edbro

Company expands into Gulf region to provide major support network for infrastructure development

EDBRO are underlining their position as world-leading manufacturers of hydraulic truck tipping hoists and waste-management equipment with a major expansion into the Middle East market. Key activities will include establishing service partners in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman, and developing a combined warehouse stock and service facility in Dubai to serve the whole Gulf region.

‘Edbro are committed to providing an extensive network of offices and distributors that can provide standard or custom solutions for any application, anywhere in the world,’ said Ian Hollis, business development manager for Edbro International.

‘The Middle East is a key area of focus for us, because many Gulf states are building up their infrastructures with new initiatives, such as industrial parks, that reduce their total reliance on oil. These initiatives require a major commitment in construction vehicles, the majority of which require hydraulic tipping hoists. In such a harsh environment operators need the best in tipping gear, hence our expansion into this key market area.’

Building upon the successful appointment of their Saudi Arabian service partner Retem Hydraulics, Edbro have recently announced further regional expansion with the appointment of Precision Machineries LLC of Dubai, a company that will operate Edbro’s’ regional warehouse, holding stocks of essential tipping cylinders and wet kits for rapid distribution to the company’s new network of regional service partners in Oman, Qatar and UAE.

‘The creation of a regional warehouse to support our regional service partners in the Gulf region is a major step in our strategic expansion plan for this area as a whole and demonstrates our strong support and commitment for these important markets,’ explained Mr Hollis.

Edbro’s growth strategy for the Middle East region has also resulted in the establishment of a new service centre at Doha in Qatar, operated by Juma Al Marzuqi, who are well established in the Middle Eastern service and maintenance support market.
