McLanahan acquire Eagle Iron Works

Long-standing US washing and beneficiation equipment manufacturer under new ownership

McLANAHAN Corporation, providers of custom-engineered processing solutions to a variety of industries around the world, have purchased the assets of Eagle Iron Works for an undisclosed sum and formed a new company, EIW LLC.

Based in Des Moines, Iowa, Eagle Iron Works have been serving the construction materials and aggregates industries since 1872, providing a line of washing and beneficiation equipment including sand-classifying tanks, log-washers and screw washers.

Under their ownership, EIW LLC will remain in Des Moines and maintain their own identity in the market.

Founded in 1835, Pennsylvania-based McLanahan are now in their sixth generation of family ownership and operation, serving a global market with locations throughout the US, the UK and Australia.

The company says it will continue to offer Eagle Iron Works equipment, supply parts and manage its sales efforts through a co-ordinated system of dealers.
