McHale Plant Sales sign Metso deal

Company’s appointment as Metso distributor confirmed at formal contract signing in Finland

THE appointment of McHale Plant Sales as distributors for Metso crushing and screening plant in Ireland was confirmed at a formal contract signing ceremony which took place during a recent high-level visit by a McHale Plant Sales management team to the Metso manufacturing plant in Tampere, Finland.

The signing ceremony, which extends McHale Plant Sales’ role from agents to distributors, was a highlight of the visit by McHale directors Michael McHale, John O’Brien, Tim Shanahan and Liam Foley.

Describing the appointment as ‘an important step in offering the Irish market an unrivalled level of support and service for existing and new customers’, Metso’s distribution director for Europe, Adrian Wood, said: ‘It is seen as a major step in ensuring that Metso products are backed up by a world-class support network with stock where it needs to be – close to the customers.’

During their visit, the McHale team toured the Lokotrack production line and viewed machines being manufactured in what Metso say is their most important global competence centre for mobile crushers.

While there, discussions also took place on plans for the future marketing of Metso machines in Ireland, which will focus on their ‘mobility, efficiency, reliability and quality in a wide range of quarry and contracting applications’.

Noting that the Lokotrack range has significant appeal for Irish customers, Michael McHale said that since being appointed to represent Metso, he and his colleagues had been ‘highly impressed’ at the level of interest being shown by quarry owners.

‘Our customers recognize Metso as a global player with a good reputation for producing high-quality products. Selling Metso means selling quality, crushing efficiency that maximizes operational uptime,’ he said.
