Magna Tyres Group boost production in Holland

Manufacturer almost doubles OTR tyre production capacity at new Hardenberg factory in the Netherlands

MAGNA Tyres Group, who claim to be the fastest-growing off-the-road (OTR) tyre company in the world at present, are expanding production at their newly opened Hardenberg plant in the Netherlands.

Earlier this year Magna commenced the production of new Made in Holland Magna Tyres at the Hardenberg factory. Now, only six months after the grand opening in January, the first expansion – which almost doubles production capacity – has already been completed.

Magna say the new capacity has been added to keep up with fast-growing demand for their popular 29.5R25 and 26.5R25 OTR tyre sizes.

The 29.5R25 Magna MA02 is an E3+/L3+ tyre designed for wheel loaders, dumptrucks, scrapers etc. Wide shoulders increase the contact surface for more traction, whilst the rubber compound, which is used for all OTR tyres from Magna, is said to offer the best result against chip and chunk and tread wear. Moreover, the reinforced shoulder and sidewall protection provides effective resistance against impacts. The carcass itself is all-steel radial and its advanced construction with improved belt layers is said to contribute to improved comfort and heat build-up resistance, and thus longer service life.

The 26.5R25 Magna M-Terrain is an E4 tyre with a particularly deep and robust profile, designed for heavy dumptruck applications in surface mine, mass excavation, scrap processing sites and underground mine applications. The same wide shoulder area that is characteristic of the MA02 is also found in the M-Terrain and ensures optimum grip in challenging off-road conditions.
