LiuGong open European regional HQ

Opening ceremony

New regional headquarters and production line demonstrate company’s commitment to Europe

CHINESE construction equipment manufacturers LiuGong have officially opened the company’s first regional headquarters in Warsaw, Poland, and unveiled new manufacturing capabilities in Stalowa Wola, also in Poland.

LiuGong’s European regional headquarters will serve to strengthen the company’s growing presence in region by locating key staff in a central location to increase collaboration and communication, whilst delivering greater operational support to customers and dealers through improved operational efficiencies.

Howard Dale, chairman of LiuGong Europe and LiuGong Dressta Machinery, said: ‘There is significant opportunity for growth in Europe. We are committed to continuously improving our products and services, and growing our business in this region, so we have established the new headquarters to support these aspirations.’

The new office will concentrate on sales, customer support and marketing for the entire European region, and will be an important hub for LiuGong’s global customer support.

In addition to the opening of the regional headquarters, LiuGong have also announced increased manufacturing capabilities in Stalowa Wola. Augmenting Dressta’s existing dozer and pipe-layer operations, the new production facility will manufacture LiuGong wheel loaders and excavators for supply throughout Europe.

To celebrate the official opening of the regional headquarters and the new production operations, last week LiuGong Dressta Machinery held a two-day event where customers, dealers, senior management and local dignitaries learned more about the new facilities and capabilities.

LiuGong’s say the investment affirms their long-term commitment and confidence in the European market. The integrated manufacturing facility will expand the company’s production capacity to meet growing demand for Tier IV final wheel loaders and excavators, and provide a platform to support the tailoring of products to meet varied customer requirements in key European markets.

With a total facility area of 43,724 sq metres, the new production area covers 1,904 sq metres and has been designed to integrate LiuGong’s latest manufacturing technologies and best practices to improve quality, safety and efficiency, whilst reducing waste and environmental impact.

With capacity of 1,000 units per annum, production will now include major fabrications, painting, final assembly and testing.

‘This serves as a very clear signal that LiuGong are committed to this market and in a strong position to offer their customers shorter lead times and improved support with products that are designed for, and made in Europe,’ said Mr Dale.

LiuGong’s new Stalowa Wola manufacturing facility will produce: 922E, 924E, 925E, 928E, 936E and 939E excavators (from 22 to 39 tonnes operating weight); and 848H, 856H and 877H wheel loaders (from 2.5 to 7 cubic metre bucket capacity).
