Large investment for Selwood

Selwood invest nearly £2.5m with Ammann equipment

Selwood have invested nearly £2.5m with Ammann Equipment since the beginning of the year on new plant for their own rental fleet.

Nearly 120 machines have been ordered with most already delivered to the company’s branches throughout the country. These range from 1.5-tonne to 10-tonne mini-excavators and 80-130cm tandem rollers.

Selwood’s operations director Jon Sendell commented: ‘This is a significant and sizeable investment in difficult times but we have to ensure that we can meet our local customer demands. Plant hire is a capital intensive business and it is important that we continue to invest in and update our fleet to ensure that we maintain our ability to provide our customers with an extremely reliable service.’

Robert Brown, Ammann’s managing director, commented: ‘We have had a long and close association with Selwood and it is rewarding that Selwood continue to believe in our products and is prepared to invest heavily with us at this time.’
