Karen Moses to join board of Boral Ltd

Experienced energy industry executive appointed to non-executive director role

BORAL Ltd have announced the appointment of Karen Moses as a non-executive director, effective 1 March 2016.

Ms Moses (pictured), who is currently executive director of finance & strategy at Origin Energy, has more than 30 years’ experience in the energy industry spanning oil, gas, electricity and coal commodities, and upstream supply and downstream marketing operations, both within Australia and overseas.

 

She has worked with Origin (formerly Boral Energy) since 1994 and prior to that was with Exxon and BP. Her executive career has included a number of senior roles and she currently has responsibility for corporate strategy, finance, transactions, safety and environment, risk, compliance and insurance.

Boral’s newly appointed chairman, Dr Brian Clark, said: ‘Together with my fellow directors, we are very pleased to welcome Karen to Boral’s board and look forward to working with her from March 2016.

‘Her background and experience in overseeing significant financial and strategic transactions, managing operational, financial, safety and environmental risks, and managing supply chains from upstream exploration through to downstream retail marketing, will be highly valuable as Boral continue to grow and transform into a high-performing company.’
