JCB order from Ardent Hire Solutions

Plant hire firm places order for 700 new JCB Loadall telescopic handlers and forklift trucks

JCB have won a major order for 700 new machines from one of the UK’s biggest plant hire firms. Ardent Hire Solutions are purchasing JCB Loadall telescopic handlers and rough terrain forklift trucks as part of their commitment to invest in the most technologically advanced machines on the market.

The machines will be supplied by Leicestershire-based Watling JCB. Dan Thompstone, JCB sales director for the UK and Ireland, said: ‘Ardent Hire Solutions is a key partner for us in the UK rental market and its continued investment in JCB equipment is testament to JCB’s product innovation, reliability and unrivalled UK-wide dealer aftermarket and parts support.’

Ardent Hire Solutions were established last year with the merger of Fork Rent and One Call Hire. The combined group has its head office in Middlesex and the business trades from 12 depots nationwide and provides over 5,000 units for hire with an average age of less than two years and a fleet holding of approximately £150 million.

Tom Gleeson, commercial director for Ardent, commented: ‘Ardent Hire Solutions is increasing its share of the UK hire market and we intend building on that position by investing in the best equipment on offer.

‘Our purchase of JCB machines is our largest investment so far this year. We are committed to invest in the best, most technologically advanced machines for our customers offering far superior products then any of our competitors.’
