Hose acquisition
Manchester-based S. Redfern & Co. Ltd, manufacturers of the highly wear resistant Redflex hose for washing plants, have purchased Amiflex Hose Ltd, of Walton Summit, near Preston, from American-owned Dixon Valve & Coupling Co. Redfern and Amiflex specialize in different areas of the hand-built, large-diameter industrial hose market and say the new alliance will allow them to compete more effectively in the quarry plant and inland dredging vessel parts market.
