Atlas Copco appoint Hodge Plant to handle UK crushing and screening equipment distribution

ATLAS Copco have teamed up with Hodge Plant for the sales and distribution of their extensive Powercrusher range of track-mounted jaw crushers, impact crushers, cone crushers and screening plants.

The deal, effective immediately, sees Hodge Plant responsible for the UK sales, service and rental of the crushing and screening equipment range.

Established in 1986, Hodge Plant now employ 47 people including a dedicated crushing and screening division with six service personnel. They have a wealth of experience in the crushing industry operating their own hard stone quarry at Duneaton, 30 miles south of Edinburgh.

They also own and operate a diverse hire fleet of more than 100 machines including Atlas Copco heavy hydraulic hammers and a wide range of earthmoving equipment.

The Atlas Copco Powercrusher range, which is engineered for mobility, high performance and reliability, is a good fit for Hodge Plant, who pride themselves on offering a service that is second to none.

To date Hodge Plant have bought three Powercrusher units – two PC4 machines with an inlet opening of 1,250mm x 650mm and an output of up to 300 tonnes/h, and one PC6 with an inlet opening of 1,300mm x 800mm and a crushing capacity of 350 tonnes/h.

Alistair Hodge, director of Hodge Plant, said: ‘I was drawn to Atlas Copco because of the superb build quality and simple operation of the range. I’m in the unique position where I own the equipment for rental and sell to end-users at our new depot in Blantyre, and I can literally show potential buyers why they should choose Atlas Copco.’

Alistair Hodge and an Atlas Copco PC4 jaw crusher will be on the Atlas Copco stand at Plantworx 2013 from 14–16 May.
