Hitachi Premium Used programme launched to promote high-quality second-hand equipment

HITACHI Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) have launched a new initiative to promote their second-hand equipment. Hitachi Premium Used provides customers with peace of mind when they purchase a used Hitachi model, guaranteeing a high-quality machine with an approved Hitachi warranty.

The new programme applies to Hitachi medium and large excavators with less than 5,000 hours on the clock or less than five years old, and mini-excavators with less than 3,500 hours. It also applies to all ZW-series wheel loaders above 125hp. All the machines will be covered by Hitachi’s six-month/1,500-hour powertrain and hydraulics warranty.

Every Hitachi Premium Used machine will undergo a rigorous inspection and refurbishment process, carried out by an authorized Hitachi dealer using only genuine Hitachi parts and lubricants, according to Hitachi specifications.

Scheduled oil sampling will be completed and maintenance records will be available via Global e-Service, Hitachi’s remote machine-monitoring website. The machines will be painted, if required, to provide an immaculate appearance, and the undercarriage and tyres will be guaranteed to have less than 50% wear.

‘These inspections will ensure the high quality of Hitachi used equipment is maintained throughout Europe,’ said Tom van Wijlandt, manager of service business support at HCME.

‘Customers travelling to, or working in, different countries can benefit from the same Premium Used conditions and will be supported by their local authorized Hitachi dealer, irrespective of where they are on the continent.’

Hitachi Premium Used machines can be viewed on the new HCME website (at: https://used.hitachicm.eu), which offers a comparison feature to check the hours, specs and pricing of similar models.

‘The Hitachi Premium Used programme has been created to give our customers confidence in the quality and performance of their equipment,’ said Mr van Wijlandt. ‘It also continues Hitachi’s long-established reputation for providing reliable solutions to the construction industry.’
