Haver & Boecker speed up

Haver & Boecker’s engineering division has developed Speed-Line, a new product designed to widen the company’s range for fine screening applications.

Designed for screening applications of less than 1mm, typically quartz sand and dry motar, the Speed-Line will be offered in two standard sizes — 1,000mm x 3,000mm and 1,500mm x 3,000mm. The screen has a standard angle of 30° and consists of two separate screen frames that are supported by rubber buffers. The outer screen body is virtually vibration free and conveys only low dynamic forces into the surrounding support structure.

The drive unit consists of two separate unbalanced motors, one on each screen frame, producing a speed of 3,000 rev/min. In order to achieve high-efficiency screening Haver & Boecker say that a specially designed feed box will provide an even distribution of material, while longitudinal tensioning of the wire cloth will maintain the even material layer for the entire length of the screen.
