GenSet launch solar-powered tower light

Power equipment specialists GenSet have unveiled the Solar LinkTower, the latest addition to their extensive range of lighting products, developed in partnership with the University of Pavia in Italy.

Powered by a solar panel and 12V DC battery combination, the new tower light can run for almost 7h on a single charge. Up to four LinkTowers can be connected and powered from one source (mains or generator) to offer a broad area of lighting coverage. Illumination is provided by 18 LED lamps, which are attached to a 7m stainless steel mast.

The tower light is fitted with fork-lift pockets for easy manouverability, while robust cabling is available for more secure connections. GenSet marketing manager Paul Hay said: ‘In line with current concerns about energy use in the modern environment, we are constantly seeking new methods to make our products more sustainable. We believe that the Solar LinkTower has a big future, particularly with environmentally conscious organizations.’
