Company marks milestone anniversary with week-long celebrations around the world

LAST week, belt conveyor accessory specialists Flexco celebrated 110 years in business with week-long celebrations all over the world.

When Flexco first opened on 27 March 1907, they were founded as Flexible Steel Lacing Company and were located in a small Chicago workshop. They have since grown to become one of the global leaders in providing solutions for improving belt conveyor productivity around the world.

Today, Flexco’s headquarters are located in Downers Grove, Illinois, with two additional North American locations at Woodridge, Illinois, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. The company also operates subsidiaries in Australia, Chile, China, England, Germany, India, Mexico, Singapore, and South Africa, marketing its broad line of products through a worldwide network of distributors.

‘We’re delighted to be commemorating this milestone anniversary with a week-long celebration involving all Flexco employees worldwide,’ said Richard A. White, Flexco president and chief executive officer.

‘Although we are all extremely proud of our long tenure in the industry, we are especially thankful for the enduring support and loyalty provided by our customers – the real contributors to our long history of growth and success.’

Flexco say their vision and underlying values are built on many of the same operating principles put in place by company’s founders, George E. Purple, Albert B. Beach and Phillip S. Rinaldo, when they opened their workshop 110 years ago.

The company’s vision is to become the leader in maximizing belt conveyor productivity for customers worldwide through superior service and innovation in safe and efficient products and solutions for belt splicing, cleaning, tracking, spillage, and slippage.
