Epiroc introduce new bucket screeners

Epiroc bucket screener

Company widens extensive portfolio of hydraulic attachment tools with a range of bucket screeners

EPIROC have widened their already extensive portfolio of hydraulic attachment tools with a new range of bucket screeners made from highly resistant steel for long life in harsh working environments.

With service weights of 1,710kg and 2,450kg, respectively, the Epiroc BS 1600 and BS 2200 are said to combine the best of modern design and sturdy construction to bring customers working in recycling and rock excavation an even more complete solution.

‘The demands on our customers are constantly increasing and we are happy to extend our offer with a product that we know will help them save time and make money,’ said Gordon Hambach, global marketing manager at Epiroc Hydraulic Attachment Tools. ‘Sorting material on site really increases efficiency and the new Epiroc bucket screeners are as reliable and fast as they come.’

Hydraulic power is transmitted to the basket via a timing belt that does not require tensioning –a reliable transmission solution that delivers optimum torque and reduces maintenance time.

‘The large diameter of the main roller bearing allows us to fit a much longer basket compared with other screeners on the market,’ explained Mr Hambach. ‘The bigger screening area gives a significant increase in performance and ensures high-quality output.’

Furthermore, the basket features a polygonal design, with 12 sides rather than a smooth rounded surface. This shape allows the material to be shaken in a very effective way to speed up the screening process. The rock, crushed concrete or recycled material then passes through hexagonal openings in the mesh to produce high quality aggregate material.

The new Epiroc bucket screeners are available in two sizes (1.5 cubic metres and 3.0 cubic metres loading volume) for carriers between 18 tonne and 38 tonnes, and depending on needs and requirements, customers can choose from baskets with six different mesh size openings from 20mm up to 80mm.
