Edbro tipping cylinder for Fruehauf

Tipping-trailer manufacturers Fruehauf say their new range of rigid tippers offer the greatest payloads, strength and durability in the market, and use Edbro’s CX15 tipping cylinders, which are said to be the lightest and fastest components available for 8x4 tippers. David Tallent of Freuhauf commented: ‘We have used Edbro’s range of tipping cylinders for many years on our semi-rigid trailers and have always found them to be largely fit-and-forget units that offer high strength and minimum maintenance.’

The CX15 weighs up to 165kg less than competitive products and, because of its integrated ram and tank design, is easy to fit. More importantly, the tipping gear provides 40% faster tipping speeds for the quickest possible vehicle turn-arounds, while the integrated hoist control valve improves safety by preventing the vehicle body from falling should a hose burst.

Mr Tallent added: ‘We are responding to the demands of the market. We asked our customers what make of tipping cylinder they preferred and the overwhelming response was Edbro.’
