Edbro team up with BMI Trailers

Northern Ireland dealers to supply and support hydraulic hooklift and skiploader systems

BMI Trailers Ltd, leading manufacturers and suppliers of waste-ejector trailers and kerbside recycling vehicles, will be acting as the main Northern Ireland dealers for Edbro’s new range of hydraulic skiploader and hooklift systems.

The move comes as a natural progression for BMI Trailers as they have recently moved into new, larger premises and are able to deliver top-level dealership servicing, maintenance and technical support for the Edbro range, reducing costs and lead times for local customers.

Edbro, have recently introduced a new telescopic arm skiploader and a lightweight hooklift system to the market. Both products utilize Edbro’s expertise in producing lightweight equipment; meeting modern requirements for increased productivity, optimum chassis utilisation and maximum safety.

The MB14T skiploader provides a lift capacity of up to 14 tonnes, while the TH23 power hook provides a lift capacity up to 23 tonnes. Both offer a fast lift-off facility to dramatically reduce the lifting cycle.

Brendan McIlvana, managing director of BMI Trailers Ltd, commented: ‘We have been a customer of Edbro’s for a number of years now, using the RK cylinders in many of our vehicles. The move to our new premises gave us the capacity to expand the business and it was a natural progression to team up with Edbro to provide their customers with a direct dealer in Northern Ireland. The hooklift and skiploader are popular products for waste and recycling vehicle operators so it enables us to provide a further service to our existing customers, while ensuring Edbro’s customers in Northern Ireland enjoy the best service possible.’
