Tipping hoist specialists introduce new device to prevent empty tipper bodies from rattling while in transit

EDBRO, the hydraulic truck tipping hoist specialists, have launched a new product designed to prevent tipper bodies from rattling while in transit.

Developed in response to customer demand, the company says the new Body Clamp is proven to prolong tipper life, by reducing the damage caused by body rattle, which commonly occurs when the body is empty.

‘When travelling without a load it is common for a truck’s body to rattle due to the vibrations caused by uneven road surfaces. Over time this can cause damage to the chassis and even cracks in the body, which can result in unscheduled maintenance requirements or even reduced service life,’ said Peter Smith, sales and marketing director for Edbro.

‘This is a real problem for operators and one which can lead to early failure and reduced profits. The Body Clamp is an efficient solution which improves service life and reduces noise pollution.’

The Body Clamp, which is suitable for use with most tipping vehicles, is available in either steel or aluminium and can be obtained from Edbro direct or through authorized agents.
