Edbro improve tipping safety

Edbro have launched a new high-voltage alert system designed to protect drivers and equipment from power line contact and other potential electrical hazards.

The warning system uses a compact detection antenna mounted within the chassis cab, which is connected to an in-cab warning unit fitted with clear audio and visual warnings. The 12-24V unit can be fitted to new vehicles or retro-fitted to vehicles already in use. Once installed the device will activate on PTO activation and then continuously monitors for potential electrical hazards to reduce the risk of accidents.

The in-cab display, which takes up very little room in the cab, measures 130mm x 35mm x 25mm and produces a high intensity red flashing LED as well as an 85db high-pitched buzzer when high voltage is detected within a pre-set distance (up to 100m). The detection antenna is 235mm long and weighs just 60g.
