Doosan launch the new DX19 mini-excavator

Doosan DX19 mini-excavator

Providing a combination of high performance and compactness, the new Doosan DX19 mini-excavator has been designed to provide increased productivity, maximum durability and a high level of operator comfort in a large and easily accessed cab.

The DX19 model is powered by a Kubota D722 diesel engine which delivers an output of 9.9kW at 2,500 rev/min. Complemented by an optimized hydraulic system, this results in fast cycle times and class-leading breakout forces, including a digging force over the bucket of 20.8kN.

Equipped with rubber tracks, a long blade and bucket, the DX19 mini has an operating weight of 1,894kg and maximum digging depth of 2,565mm. The dump height is 2,693mm, whilst the maximum digging reach is 4,214mm. The high lifting capacity and superior dumping height offered by the compact machine ensures that loading trucks is an easy process, while the reach at ground level reduces the
need for repeated repositioning during digging.

An optional certified 'object handling package', which consists of a safety valve for the boom and the arm, a hooking device and an overload warning device, is also available for the DX19 unit. And the new model is towable on trailers up to 2,000 kg capacity, with transportation further enhanced by new tie-down points.

Expansion and retraction on the DX19 undercarriage are simple and easy via a switch on the control panel. When fully retracted, the undercarriage allows the machine to go through narrow spaces, and when fully expanded it provides optimum stability for the excavator, especially when working over the side.

The operator cab features large windows and narrow pillars to maximize all-around visibility, comfort and safety. A large and wide door offers convenient access, which is made easier as the control console rises completely out of the way when the operator takes their seat.

The machine control panel provides an easy check on the main parameters (including auto engine shutdown, auto glow plugs countdown, auto cab lights switch-off, and rev/min meter). Other features include: keyless ignition for convenience; a battery kill switch to prevent theft; and an automatic slew brake for safe parking and transportation.

For ease of maintenance, the tailgate and side cover can be quickly opened to provide immediate access to conveniently located components such as easily cleaned side-by-side coolers and other daily service points, reducing downtime to a minimum.  Maintenance and service work is further simplified by the diagnostics on the new excavator, including error codes displayed on the control panel and service tool connection.
