Continued service from Fuchs

Since 1993 Fuchs Lubricants (UK) plc have have been providing lubricants to Lafarge Aggregates’ Mountsorrel Quarry.

Graham Rudin, works manager at Mountsorrel, commented: ‘With our previous supplier we had hundreds of barrels stored all over the site as we were never sure if deliveries would be made on time. Fuchs have helped us to rationalize the range of products we use and provided bunded storage tanks — we now have very limited stock because we know that we can rely on Fuchs’ service.’

With ever-tougher regulations governing waste being implemented, Lafarge have introduced an advanced system for the reclamation of drainage water at Mountsorrel, where water contaminants are removed by filters and the water is subsequently recycled.

Lafarge have also recently turned to Fuchs for help with other waste streams and have adopted Fuchs’ ‘clean solutions’ environmental-management package. The programme is designed to help customers meet and exceed current environmental legislation with a fully compliant waste-collection service which includes oil, anti-freeze, filters, mixed fuels, solvents, batteries, oily rags, absorbants and granules, all for a fixed monthly fee which includes automatically generated collection.
