Cement and Concrete Science 2012

Annual conference issues call for abstracts on research in the area of cement and concrete science

THE 32nd annual conference on Cement and Concrete Science, which is being hosted by the School of Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast from 17–18 September 2012, has issued a call for abstracts.

The conference will provide an opportunity for academic researchers, students and industry professionals to discuss their ongoing research in the area of cement and concrete science. As in previous years, the conference will discuss topics such as: cement hydration and microstructure; pozzolanic materials; new cementitious binders; concrete durability; waste re-use and encapsulation using cements; admixtures; geopolymers; and sustainability issues relating to the industry.

The closing date for the submission of abstracts (c.100–200 words) is Friday 23 March 2012. Accepted papers will be required by Friday 27 July 2012. Abstracts should be forwarded electronically to the conference secretary using the contact form below.
