Carl Bird Skip Hire increase recycling efficiency with Kiverco plant

Norfolk-based firm powers through waste with Finlay Plant Southern partnership  

CARL Bird Skip Hire have chosen Finlay Plant Southern as a trusted partner to deliver a highly productive and convenient mobile waste recovery solution to power through volumes of material on site. 

Having purchased a number of Terex Finlay machines from Finlay Plant Southern over the years, the family-run business recently took delivery of a Kiverco PS122 picking line at its site for a two-week hire period. 

Fitted with an overband magnet to recover ferrous metals, the machine was fed by a Terex Finlay 883+ allowing a four-man picking line team to clean up contaminated hardcore, recovering clean stone and wood. 

Carl Bird, managing director of the waste-management business, was impressed with the performance of the Kiverco PS122 picking line and plans to reintroduce it later this year.

‘It’s done a brilliant job,’ he commented. ‘We didn’t even run it every day and it still processed a 4,000 tonne stockpile,’ he said. ‘We’ll definitely be having it out on hire again soon as it is helping us to achieve our aim of zero per cent to landfill.’
