Biodiversity Brochure

Larger-than-life conservationist Professor David Bellamy took time out of his busy schedule to help launch Lafarge Aggregates’ new quarry restoration brochure entitled ‘From Working Quarry to Wildlife Haven’. The launch of the brochure follows the company’s recent success in the Quarry Products Association’s 2001 restoration awards. The brochure details Lafarge’s commitment to biodiversity and describes how former quarries can provide habitats for rare species which were once common in this country. ‘It’s a dream come true!’ said Professor Bellamy. ‘Quarrying with biodiversity in mind — Lafarge prove it can be done all over the world.’
