Bell Equipment deal secured at Hillhead 2016

Gallagher's new Bell machines

Gallagher Aggregates boost mobile plant fleet with deal sealed at this year’s Hillhead exhibition

KENT-based Gallagher Aggregates have bolstered their already sizeable fleet with the addition of three new Bell Equipment machines, secured through a deal made at the Hillhead 2016 exhibition.

The stand-based negotiations, which stemmed from a longstanding relationship with Bell Equipment, led to Gallagher Aggregates investing in a new Bell L2606 wheel loader together with a Bell B30E ADT and a Bell B40D ADT, all of which have now been delivered and put to work across the firm’s building, civil engineering, quarrying and property development divisions.

Sean Connor, managing director of Gallagher Aggregates, said: ‘We visited Bell at the Hillhead exhibition back in June. Their team knew that we were in the market for new machinery and were well prepared for our visit on the day.

‘Bell understand the high standards we sets ourselves as a company, and can relate our business ethic to the capability of their machines, in terms of specification, performance and reliability.  This made agreeing a deal on the day a straightforward process.’

Gallagher’s relationship with Bell has developed positively over the past 10 years. The company has a number of Bell ADTs operating within its fleet, all of which have delivered an impressive performance.

‘Our experience with Bell has encouraged our loyalty to the brand and gave us the self-assurance to buy our first Bell L2606 wheel loader while at Hillhead,’ said Mr Connor. ‘Needless to say, the machine is up and running and performing well, proving its worth and delivering results we’re extremely pleased with.’

These latest machines add to Gallagher’s two Bell B30Es, three B50Ds and another B40D ADT, all of which have been working reliably and minimizing downtime for more than two years.

Believing in the importance of always having up-to-date machines to execute the tasks required of them, the aggregates firm also chose to trade in two of its existing Bell B30D dumptrucks, which had each accumulated 16,000 hours, as part of the new deal.

‘We’re extremely pleased with the Bell machines currently working within our fleet, as well as with the overall performance of the models we’ve decided to let go,’ said Mr Connor.

‘An essential component of our firm’s reputation is that we use and supply high-performance equipment of the latest designs and specifications, recently manufactured and ready to deliver.  Buying such reliable equipment from Bell enables us to maintain that status and continue achieving results for our clients and our company, which is why I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from Bell again.’

Nick Learoyd, managing director of Bell UK, commented: ‘Expectations for new plant machines to perform under challenging conditions, prove themselves reliable, and keep downtime to a minimum should always be high. That’s why it’s so rewarding to learn from clients that the calibre of equipment designed and manufactured by Bell is more than capable of meeting those requirements.

‘We’re delighted that Gallagher’s chose to bring their business to us at the Hillhead stand this year and feel confident that the machines they’ve secured will provide them with the impressive level of service they’re looking for.’
