Baldor boost performance of Dodge tapered roller bearing
New version of Dodge Type E-Extra tapered roller bearing features high load ratings and advanced sealing system
Baldor have released a new version of the Dodge Type E-Xtra tapered roller bearing said to feature the highest load ratings and most advanced sealing system in the industry.
Manufactured in the US, the high-capacity tapered roller bearing insert allows for a combination of radial and thrust loads, said to yield the highest load ratings in the industry. Lab tests have shown that the new tapered insert has 13-14% ratings increase over the previous insert. The carburized inner ring has also been designed to absorb shock and resist cracking.
The latest Type E-Xtra bearing features the exclusive XTS triple-lip seal, an advanced system that protects against contamination in dusty or wet environments. Oversized dual Springlok collars act as flingers for added seal protection. For extreme conditions, customers may also choose the XTS Plus sealing system, which incorporates the Dodge E-Tect seal kit for extra protection.
Bearings are preassembled, pre-lubricated and are factory adjusted for easy installation. The Type E-Xtra is offered in a variety of configurations for maximum application flexibility. The offering includes two- and four-bolt pillow blocks, flanges, piloted flanges, top angle take-ups, and wide slot take-ups, in a choice of metric and imperial versions that span a total size range of 35-180mm and 1-3/16 7 in depending on the style.
