Air conditioner precleaner and filter unit

Agriemach have launched a new range of Dust Buster air conditioner precleaners and filter units for use in industrial and mobile plant cabs.

"In the precleaner an electric-powered fan drives air through static spiral vanes to spin a rotor at high speed. The rotor spins off dust and extraneous particles to atmosphere via vents in the unit’s body before contaminants can reach the air filter. Agriemach say that a six-fold increase in filter life, plus a valuable reduction in labour costs, can be expected when using the Dust Buster."

"As well as the cooling effect air conditioners provide, they also produce a positive pressure inside the cab, driving out dirty air, dust and contaminants. To maintain efficiency, however, it is vital that the filter serving the air conditioner is never choked with dust. According to Agriemach, without a Dust Buster precleaner installed, filters may need to be replaced on a daily basis in extremely dust-laden conditions."

All units have a powder-coated steel body with a dual-bearing-mounted polypropylene flexible rotor and can be installed in either a vertical or horizontal position. Air purification efficiencies are around 90% for precleaning and up to 99.9% for the filter element.

"The new, maintenance-free units are available in three sizes. Each size is available in two versions: version 1 is a combined air precleaner and air filter, while version 2 is an air precleaner for use only with an existing air conditioner filter."
