Affordable rear-view systems

At the recent SED exhibition, Vision Techniques introduced two affordable mobile rear-view CCTV systems.

The Trans-caM II CCTV system for mining and quarrying applications comprises a high-quality camera, manufactured around a Panasonic camera 'engine'. The other high-performance colour rear-vision system has been designed around a new colour camera from Mitsubishi. Both systems feature a slim 6.9in flat-screen LCD monitor with a TFT display.

The non-reflective monitor provides high-quality images unimpeded by spurious light and the reflections of operators close to the screen. The monitor also features, as standard, a quick-release system to allow it to be mounted from the roof of the cab if dashboard mounting is not convenient. The colour monitor operates from a 12V dc supply and consumes around 9W in operation.

The rugged and waterproof camera design of the Trans-caM II provides the high-quality pictures necessary for a clear and reliable monitor display. Picture quality is good even in poor lighting conditions. Both camera and monitor come with mounting brackets and the camera has an adjustable sun visor. Trans-caM II systems come complete with wiring, fitting kit and three years' warranty, are EC EMC regulations compliant and carry the CE mark.
