Longcliffe was established in 1927 and is one of the very few independent hard rock quarries left in England and one of the largest which is still family owned.

We are seeking to recruit a Shotfirer to work as part of our in-house blasting team.

You will work as a team consisting of a driller, an apprentice, a Senior Shotfirer and lead by the Explosives Supervisor.

Your role will be to maintain the safe and efficient supply of blasted stone to the quarry production team, in line with the quarry development plan.

Living locally or being able to drive to site is essential due to the location.

Main Duties & Skills:

  • Evidence competency through all relevant QCF qualifications & CPD.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Team Player.
  • Have a flexible & enthusiastic approach to work.
