Leiths (Scotland) Ltd currently have the following vacancy based at their Head Office in Aberdeen - Planning & Development Manager.

The Planning & Development Manager will have responsibility for estate management of 14 quarry sites across Scotland, including planning, licensing and permitting matters. This role also has the responsibility for prospecting operations, including site identification, investigation and assessment. Management of a small team of in-house staff and external consultants will be necessary to accomplish these tasks.

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and self-motivated, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, who can work on their own initiative whilst under pressure in a busy working environment. Qualifications essential for this position are:

  • A degree in Geography/Planning/Geology or a similar Earth Science;
  • Qualification with a relevant professional body.

Desirable experience for the role includes:

  • Design and management of mineral estates;
  • Surveying and prospecting, ideally within the quarrying sector;
  • Management of projects and teams

A current, valid driving licence is essential as travel to all Group sites will be required.
