Operations Manager - Swindon

Hills Quarry Products Ltd is seeking an Operations Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of leadership and management for the various Hills Quarries in order to ensure that operational and service standards are met.

Main responsibilities of the role will be to:

  • set, monitor and control site costs in line with budgetary constraints
  • managing a large team over various sites (Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire) ensuring effective leadership and development of employees to meet business requirements
  • act as project manager for the expansion plans of the business
  • ensure compliance with the Company’s health & safety policies as well as legislation and regulations.

Successful candidates will need an NVQ Level 4 in Health, Safety & Environmental Management. This varied role requires the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. As the post looks after a large team, management experience will be essential. Experience of working in the quarrying, earthmoving or construction industries would be advantageous.
