We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic chartered surveyor or equivalent to join our multidisciplinary land and mineral resources (LMR) department as a Lands & Planning Manager.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the northern regional LMR team, providing cost-effective management of a diverse portfolio of land, property and mineral resources, as well as managing development projects, and securing and implementing planning permissions and other environmental permits.
Key to the role will be:
Supporting operational management through the provision of timely and specialist advice on planning, mineral and land management issues;
Undertaking all aspects of landlord and tenant asset management, including negotiating leases and their renewal, rent reviews, dilapidations and the administration of rents and royalties.
Managing the preparation of planning applications and Environmental Statements and successfully delivering planning permissions for development projects, principally relating to mineral working and a wide variety of other industrial development relating to the manufacture, sale and transportation of building materials.
Proactively engaging with external stakeholders, including landowners, tenants, regulatory bodies and community groups.
Managing LMR project-related expenditure in line with budgets.
Qualifications
BSc (Hons) or equivalent in property / minerals estates management / mineral planning or related disciplines.
Chartered Surveyor or equivalent professional qualification from a relevant corporate body.
