Wainwright are a proudly independent quarrying business in the heart of the Mendips. We extract and process basalt from our quarry and sell premium construction materials throughout the region. With plans for continued growth, now is a great time to join our successful team.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced maintenance engineer/fitter to join our growing business.

No two days are the same in our workshop. We are looking for a practical, hands-on individual with a strong mechanical aptitude. To succeed in this role, you will be hard working, with a first-rate understanding of static plant. An NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent experience is crucial. An applied knowledge of statutory legislation and compliance, particularly around Health and Safety and environment is required. Mobile plant maintenance experience is also highly desirable.

The core hours for the role are Mon-Fri, 0700-1700, however there may be a requirement to work out of hours to respond to breakdowns and carry out scheduled maintenance as agreed with the site management.

We offer a competitive reward package with an extensive list of benefits including a life assurance policy, health cash plan, cycle to work scheme and much more.

To apply for the above role, please forward a covering letter and CV to our People and Culture department - P&C@wainwright.co.uk - by the closing date of Friday 16th February 2024.
