We currently have the following vacancy at our Blackhills Quarry, Cove, Aberdeen for an Assistant Quarry Manager.
Reporting to the Quarry Manager you will be responsible under Section 8 of the Quarries Regulations 1999 for assisting with the safe and efficient management of the quarry.
You will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental management and possess the necessary competence and leadership skills to promote a positive team culture.
The ideal candidate should have previous management experience, a sound working knowledge of crushing, concrete and asphalt operations, as well as general maintenance activities. A flexible approach to work and good communication skills are essential for this role.
Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred as you will require a strong technical knowledge of fixed and mobile plant operations, blast design, shot firing and quarry development. Ideally you will hold, or be working towards a SHE NVQ Level 3/4.
