  • Kaolin

    White, or nearly white, clay of various origins including the decomposition of feldspar.

    Also: china clay

  • Kelvin

    The SI unit of thermodynamic temperature. The temperature interval of one kelvin (K) equals that of one degree Celsius. Temperature measurements on this scale are made from absolute zero which is equivalent to -273.15°C.

  • Kilo-

    A prefix indicating multiplication by a thousand.

    A practical measure of energy used as the unit of payment for electrical energy. It is the energy expended in one hour when the power is 1,000 watts.
