Xylem appoint new MD for US dewatering solutions

Grant Salstrom

Grant Salstrom takes on responsibility for growth and development of Godwin and Flygt brands

US-based Xylem, world leaders in the design and manufacture of automatic self-priming pumps, hydraulic submersibles and related intelligent control systems for dewatering applications, have announced the appointment of Grant Salstrom as managing director of Godwin.

In his new role, Mr Salstrom will have responsibility for the growth and development of the Godwin and Flygt brands within the dewatering market in the US.

In addition, he will oversee the Godwin manufacturing facility in Gloucestershire, England, and support global growth as Xylem look to expand their dewatering business around the world.

Mr Salstrom joined Godwin Pumps in 1987 as a parts manager, progressed through a series of positions, and was appointed vice-president and chief operating officer of the company in 2008.

Commenting on his new appointment, he said: ‘Godwin’s core values were always reliability, responsiveness and reputation. Now as a brand under Xylem, we can reach a broader market for our pumps and system design services.

‘We are growing sales and rentals throughout the US, adding capacity to our already strong network of branches and distributors. We are excited for the year ahead and about growing as a brand of Xylem.’
