Fully updated and comprehensive guidance document on brake testing now available from MP Awards

ORIGINALLY prepared in conjunction with a working group of the Quarries National Joint Advisory Committee (QNJAC) and in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Off-highway Plant and Equipment Research Centre (OPERC) and the Mineral Products Qualifications Council (MPQC), ‘Guidance on Brake Testing for Rubber-tyred Vehicles Operating in Quarries, Open Cast Coal Sites and Mines’ has been recently updated.

The comprehensive guidance document explains the brake ratio method of brake testing, providing a step-by-step guide on correlating braking performance with actual site conditions and how to design and implement a suitable brake test regime.
