Two key product launches from Hyva at TIP-Ex 2015

Hyva tipper

Company says it will also showcase the UK’s lightest tipping gear for 32 tonnes gvw operation

ONE of Hyva’s key product launches at TIP-Ex 2015, in Harrogate, from 28-30 May, will be the FCA129 cylinder. Targeting specifically at the UK aggregates industry; the gear has an average weight (including brackets) of just 430kg – 20kg lighter than other products on the market. Hyva say using their FCA129 unit, an operator undertaking five tips a day can carry an extra payload of 500kg per week (25 tonnes a year).

Weight on the separate ram and tank design FCA129 cylinder has been reduced by making the tank from industrial quality plastic rather than metal. Since the hydraulic oil tank is not load bearing, significant weight saving can be achieved without compromising either safety or performance.

Hyva say the FCA129 has a full 28 tonnes lifting capacity, four tonnes more than its nearest competitor. In addition, the tipping gear operates at 190-bar pressure, well within the cylinder’s larger 250-bar design capability. Visitors to the Hyva stand will be able to see the new FCA129 mounted to an 8x4 tipper with a PPG alloy body belonging to aggregates suppliers Brett Group.

The company’s second major product launch at the show will be a skiploader operated by remote control. Known as TRR (Titan Radio Remote), this new operating system is said to offer both speedier and much safer loading/unloading of containers from the skiploader deck. For the first time, the driver/operator can gain a full ‘walk round’ view of the working environment without being visually limited by having to stand next to a conventional skiploader’s fixed position control levers.

According to Hyva, this a product ‘first’ in the waste-management sector and the TRR skiploader has already received praise for its enhanced safety credentials.

The company will also be exhibiting an FC137 tipping cylinder mounted to a DAF eight-wheeler owned by Mick George Ltd. Weighing 450kg, Hyva say the FC137 is the only tipping gear designed for 32 tonnes gvw operation.

Other Hyva products on show will include: a Titan 8x4 hookloader, which is said to be the only unit of its type built with easy-to-install/maintain fully bolted construction; and a MAN 8x4 with a FC137 tipping cylinder working in conjunction with a heavy-duty steel Loadmaster body. A wide range of other Hyva tipping cylinders for both rigids and trailers will also be on display at the show.
