Tsurumi strengthen Swedish presence

Pump company establishes Swedish subsidiary in order to serve the local market directly

TSURUMI (Europe) GmbH have established a Swedish subsidiary in partnership with their local distributor and will now serve the Swedish market directly, drawing on their 90 years of experience to deliver pumps to the country’s mining and construction industry.

The new subsidiary is a partnership between Tsurumi and Tsurumi-Intec Pump AB, who were first established in 1999 by Tsurumi’s long-standing Norwegian distributor, Intec Pumper AS.

Magnus Malmerin, one of Sweden’s leading pump experts, has been appointed to lead the company. ‘Sweden is a major player in the pump industry and is one of the most competitive and dynamic markets in the world,’ he said. ‘Now is the perfect time for Tsurumi to develop their operations and capitalize on Sweden’s continually growing potential.

‘Contractors cannot wait for equipment,’ he continued. ‘Tsurumi have one of the largest pump stocks in Europe and we now have a warehouse in Gothenburg with a wide selection of pumps and spare parts for the Swedish market. This, combined with a well-established distribution network, will ensure our pumps get to site in the shortest possible time.’

Tsurumi, a world-leading submersible pump manufacturer, also stock thousands of pumps at their warehouse in Belgium. Almost all of their 250 contractor and sewage pumps, with power outputs up to 110kW, are available for rapid delivery, while the company’s large stock of spare parts in Germany helps ensure minimal pump downtime.
