TSafe inclinometer system for ADTs

Inclinometer system

Transport Support develop modular safety system specially developed for articulated dumptrucks

INCLINOMETER Systems are designed to provide drivers of tipper vehicles with a cost- effective solution to the problem of vehicle overturns by taking the guesswork out of tipping and providing a clear indication of the vehicles angle before tipping takes place.

Transport Support’s TSafe is a modular safety system that combines all the best features from their well-established range of vehicle safety products. The TSafe unit has been specially adapted for use on ADTs. The ADT version of the firmware gives the system full inclinometer capabilities in both X and Y axes – roll (left/right) and pitch (front/back).

This works in conjunction with a tipper body raised/lowered sensor, which automatically adjusts the various inclinometer alarm angles depending on the position of the tipper body. The TSafe system features a 3.5in touchscreen with backlit display and built-in audio warning.

The alarm angle is factory set to 9º with the skip raised and 12º when it is lowered but this can be adjusted up to a maximum of 23º. This triggers an audio-visual warning inside the cab and also prevents the skip from being raised when the alarm sounds, thereby keeping the centre of gravity low to help prevent overturn.

TSafe requires very little operator input and features a management PIN code, as well as a number of failsafe and anti tamper devices. The system also features a newly developed data recording function, which acts similar to a 'black-box' recorder and, in the event of an incident, a built-in SD card can be checked to display all parameters and status of the vehicles angle against a time and date stamp.
