Trolex launch new humidity and temperature modules

New modules introduced following two years of development

Trolex have launched a Group 1 and Group II humidity module and a new temperature module to be used in either their Sentro 8 or Sentro 1 systems. 

Trolex, one of the leaders in gas detection and environmental monitoring for the mining industry, sensed a gap in the market for Group 1 and Group II humidity sensors and decided to invest in the technology. 

The temperature module can sense temperature ranges from –10 degrees C to 40 degrees C with an accuracy of ±2 degrees C, whilst the humidity module ranges from 10% to 95% RH, with ±8% accuracy.

The temperature module also gives a sub display of the current ambient humidity, whilst the humidity module also gives a sub display of the current ambient temperature.

Sentro 8, the result of a two-year development, can monitor all types of environmental conditions such as vibration, pressure and flow, and now the temperature and humidity with these new modules. Also gases such as methane, oxygen and carbon monoxide, can be monitored all in one integrated package. Sentro 8 is ready to be configured to meet gas-detection and condition-monitoring requirements without the need for complex investment in system design or the need for specialist back-up.

Sentro 1 employs similar new technology for stand-alone single gas safety, temperature and humidity monitoring in mining, tunnelling and industrial applications where robust equipment is essential in these adverse environments.
