Highways infrastructure firm walks away with Construction News Training Excellence award

EUROVIA UK pick up the coveted ‘Training Excellence’ award at the recent 2016 Construction News Awards for the company’s Supervisor Development Programme, led by Helen Elkin, Eurovia UK’s learning and development business partner.

The company secured the prize against strong competition and following a face-to-face review by a panel of expert judges. Giving their reason for choosing Eurovia UK as the overall winner, the judges said: ‘Eurovia stand out in this sector for the commitment to workforce engagement and soft skills training which has had a transformational impact on their people and business. To see that level of training in this part of the industry is unique’.

The judges were also particularly impressed by the passion and enthusiasm of the delegates themselves.

Kristine Pollock, Eurovia UK’s group human resources director, said: ‘I am immensely proud of the work undertaken to develop this programme by our in-house collaborative team involving operational, finance, human resources and development professionals.

‘This is the first of a suite of such internally designed programmes, aimed at enhancing the skill levels of our employees. Approximately 150 employees have benefitted from this to date and work has already begun on the next level of the programme.’
