Tarmac to simplify business structure

Company restructuring Aggregates and Asphalt and Readymix businesses to enhance customer experience

TARMAC announced today that they are creating a new, simplified structure for their Aggregates and Asphalt (A&A) and Readymix (RMX) business units, to enhance customer experience.

Three regions will be formed, each led by a managing director and a number of area directors, who will manage separate RMX and A&A activities within their territories.

Tarmac say the changes will ensure that the business continues to offer excellent service to all customers, through a more flexible, co-ordinated local approach that provides greater direct access to its products and expertise, while addressing the requirements of national customers.

Martin Riley (pictured), senior vice-president of Tarmac, said: ‘Creating excellent customer relationships is the cornerstone of our business, and we believe these changes to our Aggregates & Asphalt, and Readymix operations will make it even easier for customers to work with us.

‘We know that clients value the expertise we bring to projects and trust us to deliver high-quality materials and services. This new regional structure will ensure that local customers have better access to our specialist teams and our aggregates, asphalt and ready-mixed concrete products, whilst addressing the requirements of national customers.’

Mr Riley added that the Building Products, Cement and Lime, and Contracting businesses will continue to be an integral part of Tarmac’s overall delivery of high-class materials, services and solutions, and will work collaboratively within the same territories to make it as simple as possible to do business with them.
